JCPS Student Services team members earn state awards
Two members of the Johnston County Public Schools Office of Equity, Information and Student Services were recognized with state awards from the North Carolina School Counselor Association for the year of 2020. Dr. Amanda Allen, Executive Director of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), was awarded North Carolinaโs Counseling Director of the Year and Rena Keith, SEL Interventionist, was named North Carolinaโs Advocate of the Year.

Christopher Godwin, Executive Supervisor of Client Services for Johnston County Public Schools has successfully graduated from the 2019-2020 Certified Government Chief Information Officers Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hillโs School of Government.

JCPS transitions to Plan B for all students
The Johnston County Board of Education voted to return all Pre-K and EC-Self Contained students to Plan B, four days per week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19. These students will participate in face-to-face instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesday serving as a remote learning day. All other students in grades K-12 will remain on Plan C until Monday, Feb. 1.

High School State Assessments Update
On December 8th 2020, the Johnston County School Board of Education voted to return to Plan C (Remote Learning), we would like to provide an update to parents and guardians of options to complete state-mandated End-of-Course (EOC) and Career/Technical Education Post Assessment testing.

Second Semester Choice Form
Every JCPS parent was to fill ou the Second Semester Choice form to choose either the Virtual Program OR face-to-face instruction for each of their students by Monday, Nov. 30. If you were unable to fill out the form by Nov. 30 please contact your child's school for assistance. The form was to be filled out for ALL students in grades PreK-12.
