Mrs. Melissa Bolen

I have been an innovative elementary teacher for the past 13 years. This school year I am taking on a new role. I am the mental health specialist here at Cooper. For many years, I have had an interest in the everyday workings of the brain. I have done much reading on the subject of learning and self-control. I believe that if a child feels safe and loved at school they will find that learning new material will come easier. I am tasked with helping students understand their own thinking and self awareness. I look forward to working with all the students.
